Using the calculators

The calculators are free for personal, classroom and tutoring use. Do not scrape the site, resell the content or copy its code.

Learning aid, not an exam tool

Math Lantern explains how to solve problems. Do not use it where a teacher, exam board or employer forbids calculators or outside help; following those rules is your responsibility.

Accuracy

We check the calculators carefully, but errors and rounding differences are possible, and large numbers can exceed what a browser can represent exactly. Verify results that matter.

Liability

The site is free and provided as is. We are liable for intent and gross negligence and where the law does not allow us to exclude it; otherwise you use the tools at your own risk.

Names and links

Names of tests, publishers and organizations belong to their owners; Math Lantern is not affiliated with them. We are not responsible for the content of linked sites.

Can teachers use the pages in class?

Yes. Projecting the calculators or printing a worked example for students is fine.

Is a result guaranteed correct?

No. Compare with your own working, especially for large numbers.

Yes, for personal study. Do not republish whole pages.
